frequently asked questions

Yes.

When there is a great fit, we love to travel for client projects. Please note, this will include additional travel fees to accomodate.

Do you work outside Florida and Tennessee?

For comprehensive new construction projects, furnishings and decorative lighting should be addressed well before construction completion.

ACI typically recommends purchasing these pieces at least five months before anticipated completion to support production and delivery timing.

When should furnishings be ordered during a new build?

Yes, for applicable full-service projects.

Our team manages procurement, receiving, inspection, storage, delivery and white-glove installation.

Do you handle purchasing and installation?

ACI focuses on luxury new construction, comprehensive whole-home renovations and select full-service furnishing projects.

We are not structured for single-room projects, paint consultations or isolated selections.

What types of projects do you accept?

Yes.

Collaboration is central to our process. Depending on the project, we may coordinate with architects, builders, landscape architects, cabinet companies, lighting professionals and other trades to ensure the home's many layers work together.

Do you work directly with architects and builders?

Ideally, while your architectural plans are still being developed.

Bringing ACI into the project early gives us the opportunity to review form, flow, window placement, furniture relationships and other considerations while changes are still easier to make on paper.

When should we hire an interior designer for a new build?

Yes.

Site collaboration is part of the process, with visits and walkthroughs as needed throughout construction to address questions and help protect the design intent.

Will ACI visit the construction site?

We will need your input at key decision and approval points, but the purpose of full-service design is to remove the burden of managing every individual decision yourself.

We organize the process, curate the options, and guide you through decisions in a thoughtful sequence.

How involved will we need to be?

The timeline depends on the scale, construction schedule, complexity, and scope of the project. A custom home or comprehensive renovation follows the pace of the larger build, so individual phases may overlap or shift as the project evolves.

How long does the design process take?

Yes.

ACI continues to support clients after installation and coordinates with manufacturers regarding applicable warranties and product issues.

Do you stay involved after installation?

Yes.

During the furnishings process, ACI can review existing pieces and advise on where they may work within the new home.

Can you incorporate furniture or pieces we already own?
